Shanghai: UK publisher Seatrade will shortly become the first international media company to publish a municipally endorsed, dual-language magazine dedicated to Shanghai's widespread maritime industries. The 60-page glossy magazine will be printed in time to take its place as the official publication at this year's China Maritime Congress and the Seatrade Asia Awards to be held from June 24 at the Shangri-La Pudong Hotel.
Shanghai is the world's largest port, and its shipyards are rapidly climbing the ranks too. Ancillary shipping services are piling into China's financial metropolis too.
The publication has been made more pertinent by both its municipal endorsement and the decision this April by the State Council to make Shanghai an international maritime centre by 2020.
A team of Seatrade writers have covered every facet of the city's diverse maritime strengths. The magazine will also be distributed later in the year at Marintec China, Asia's largest shipping exhibition, where, once again, Seatrade is the official publication.
