Lighthouse Navigation implements Veson's IMOS6

Bangkok: Thailand-based dry cargo shipper Lighthouse Navigation has implemented Veson Nautical's Integrated Maritime Operations System (IMOS6) to manage all chartering, operations, and accounting functions for its time chartered fleet of Handy-size and Supramax vessels.

Lighthouse Navigation, which has been active from its Bangkok base since July 2009, provides shipping services for steel, fertilizers, agricultural products, and other break bulk companies.

Anders Soedergren, managing partner and co-founder of Lighthouse Navigation remarked, "Based on prior working experience with the Veson Nautical, we knew it would help us optimise our own shipping operations via a solid, flexible, user friendly platform. Having IMOS means we can provide a better range of services to our clientele more quickly, which is crucial for any start up company."

John Veson, president of Veson Nautical, remarked, "Having previously established a solid working relationship with several of the Lighthouse Navigation partners, it was particularly gratifying to work together on the implementation of IMOS6. With Lighthouse, we were able to understand the shipping requirements, deliver, and install the system quickly.  We welcome the company to our growing Asia Pacific customer family and we look forward to helping them reap the benefits of IMOS6."  [02/12/09]
