Singapore: Marco Polo Marine has bagged a one-year Indonesian coal shipping contract worth S$4m. Its subsidiary Marco Polo Shipping has signed a one-year contract to ship coal from Kalimantan to other parts of Indonesia. The company will be deploying Indonesian flagged vessels for the contract worth around S$4m. "We are happy to be able to capitalize on the buoyant opportunities for coal shipment in the region and believe such opportunities will continue to grow over time", said Sean Lee, ceo of Marco Polo Marine. The company has secured coal shipping contracts worth S$66m in total. [07/09/10]
