Maritime Week propels Hong Kong

The third Hong Kong Maritime Week from November 18 to 24 with the theme “Propel Hong Kong” seeks to boost the city as a renowned international maritime centre.

Organised by the Hong Kong Maritime and Port Board, together with co-organisers the Hong Kong Shipowners Association and the Hong Kong Maritime Museum and partners Hong Kong Trade Development Council and InvestHK, an intensive week of maritime activities will keep the Hong Kong maritime industry busy.

Aimed at uniting and showcasing the Hong Kong maritime industry as a strong cluster, raising the community’s awareness of the economic contributions of its maritime and port industries, and promoting Hong Kong as a preferred base for maritime businesses, the week is anchored by the Asian Logistics and Maritime Conference which is itself bookended by key events covering highly topical issues of the day.

These include a Bimco event on the Global Sulphur Cap 2020 and a DNV GL Bulk Carrier & Tanker Forum 2018, among others.

Key international and local industry players will come together to participate in a myriad of diversified and fun-filled activities ranging from conferences and seminars, industry briefings, corporate functions, networking events to maritime-themed sports, school workshops and family fun days.
