Ulsan: Hyundai Mipo of Korea has won its first ever orders for large LPG carriers with two European owners coming in for a total of six ships valued at $340m. The ships will all be delivered by the end of 2009. Hyundai Mipo has received new orders for 48 vessels worth $2.34bn so far this year, out of its 2006 new order target of $3.07bn. The Hyundai Heavy affiliate's backlog orders total about 200 vessels, worth $8bn. Hyundai Mipo declined to reveal the identity of the two owners. [13.07.06]
