Tokyo: MOL has announced that all crew on its car carrier, Cougar Ace, disabled at sea south of the Aleutian Islands on Monday, have been airlifted off the ship. US Coast Guard and US Airforce helicopters took just an hour to remove 23 officers and men from the stricken vessel. They were taken to Adak Island in the Aleutians. MOL says the vessel is floating stably though listing. The Cougar Ace will be towed to a safe port and an investigation into the incident begun. [28/07/06]
