Dubai: Middle Eastern offshore vessel owner and operator Nico Middle East Ltd (NMEL) has signed a contract with Malaysian shipbuilder Nam Cheong for the construction of two 5,150 bhp purpose built Anchor Handling Tug Support (AHTS) vessels.
The vessels, which are valued at over $23m, are currently being built at Fujian South East Shipyard in Fuzhou, under the supervision of Nam Cheong. They are scheduled for delivery in December 2007 and July 2008 respectively.
