New M3nergy FPSO set to make inroads into Indonesia
Emerging exploration and production company M3nergy this week launched its latest floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel at Keppel Shipyard and is set to make inroads into the Indonesian market.

The FPSO Ratu Nusantara is preparing to be deployed at the Bukit Tua field offshore Java operated by Petronas.M3nergy chairman Sukarti Wakiman said the completion of this facility marked yet another important milestone in the company's three-decade journey.

"M3nergy's participation in the development of oil fields in Bukit Tua is a strategy to strengthen our footing in Indonesia," he said. Petronas vice-president of upstream international, Sharbini Suhaili, said the company was committed to continuously study further field development opportunities at the Ketapang Block which may be tied in to the Ratu Nusantara FPSO to maximise its capacity utilisation.

The Bukit Tua field is operated by PCK2L, which is 80%-owned by Petronas and 20% by PT Saka Ketapang Perdana.Bukit Tua field is located in the Java C, 35 km to the north of Madura Island and about 110 km northeast of the city of Gresik, East Java.
