Tokyo: Liner shipper coalition The New World Alliance - made up of APL, Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMM) and Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) - is to launch a new West Mediterranean (MED) service starting from April 26 in co-operation with CMA CGM.
The MED service will deploy eight vessels of between 4,000 - 4,500teu, of which CMA CGM will operate two and the alliance will operate six, in order to cater to the growing Middle East and Mediterranean regions.
Port rotation for the MED service is: Shanghai, Ningbo, Hong Kong, Chiwan, Singapore, Port Kelang, Damietta, Genoa, Barcelona, Fos, Damietta, Jeddah, Port Kelang, Singapore, Chiwan and Shanghai. [08/04/08]
