Hong Kong: Nominations are now possible for this year's Seatrade Asia Awards to be held in Hong Kong on June 17. Both individual companies and third parties can nominate companies in a wide variety of categories. The finalists will then go before a top line up of independent judges before winners are announced at one of Hong Kong's renowned shipping destinations, the Grand Hyatt, this June. The nominating period lasts until March 14. Entry forms are here.
This year's criteria and voting procedures have received more fine tuning and restructuring to ensure they are the most transparent and fairest in the region. Comments organisers Seatrade, "As the pioneers of the shipping awards scheme, going back more than 20 years, Seatrade has been aware of its position within the industry as a trustee of excellence, one that we merely host, not choose, and our revamp of our voting procedure underlines our commitment to ensure it is the industry, not us, who chooses the best of the best among Asia's maritime firms."
