Tokyo: Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK) has acquired 100% of the shares of Ceres Container Terminals Europe B.V., making the Amsterdam-based container terminal operator a wholly owned subsidiary of NYK. The 550,000 square metre Ceres Paragon Terminal 1 (pictured) is a port of call on the EU1 and EU2 services run by the Grand Alliance, the teaming of Hapag-Lloyd Container Line, MISC Berhad, Orient Overseas Container Line and NYK.
