NYK-Hinode Line will allocate two module carriers, Yamato and Yamatai, to transport various main units to ship module cargoes from Thailand, China and the Philippines to Darwin in Australia. The period of transportation is planned to be from the first quarter of 2014 to the second quarter of 2015, and 20 or more voyages are planned.
The Ichthys LNG project is a joint venture between Inpex (76% stake) and Total (24%). The project is expected to produce 8.4m tonnes of LNG and 1.6m tonnes of LPG a year, along with approximately 100,000 barrels of condensate per day at peak.
NYK-Hinode Line has also been participating in and providing the transportation service for the Gorgon LNG project. “NYK Group will continue to pursue proactively in these promoting projects of Japan's national energy policy,” the company said.
