NYK in SIGTTO first

Tokyo: Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK) has become the first Japanese shipping company to obtain a certificate from the Det Norske Veritas (DNV), Norway's ship classification society, that it has satisfied the SIGTTO standard, an international standard for training of seamen aboard LNG carriers. NYK has plans to become the leading LNG carrier operator by 2010.  [18/09/06]
