Hong Kong: Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) announced on September 6 that it will launch a new service covering East Mediterranean ports by making use of its AEX (Asia East Coast Express) service on the Southeast Asia-North America East Coast route that runs via the Suez Canal. OOCL will employ common feeder services at Italy's Gioia Tauro port to make regular calls at Istanbul, Izmir, Haifa, Ashdod, Piraeus and Thessaloniki. [11/09/06]
