OOCL carryings and revenues up

Hong Kong: Orient Overseas Container Line has posted increased volumes and revenues in the third quarter compared to third quarter 2005. Total volumes were up 11.8% to just over 1m teu with a particularly strong showing on the Asia/Europe trade which was boosted by 31.6%. The figures bring year-to-date volumes to 2.86m teu, up 9% on the equivalent period last year. Revenues were up 6% in the third quarter at $1.12bn, while the year-to-date revenues were up 4.7% at  $3.15bn. (20/10/06)
