The partners will provide joint services and provide a much more competitive service and comprehensive coverage in the North East Asia/Australia market when compared to current service offerings, OOCL said in a press release.
The new grouping will launch three dedicated services, namely the Northern Express, Central Express and Southern Express, connecting 10 major North East Asia ports with Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane in Australia.
A3's Northern Express weekly service will offer a direct service to Japan and Korea and the fastest transit time in the market from Kaohsiung to Melbourne. Port rotation is: Yokohama - Osaka - Busan - Qingdao - Shanghai - Kaohsiung - Melbourne - Sydney - Brisbane - Yokohama
The Central Express will also be a weekly service and will feature the fastest transits between major Northern Chinese ports Shanghai and NIngbo, and Sydney. Port rotation is: Shanghai – Ningbo – Sydney – Melbourne – Brisbane – Shanghai.
Meanwhile the Southern Express service will run weekly also and provide the fastest transits between Southern China hubs Hong Kong and Shekou and Sydney. Port rotation: will be Kaohsiung – Xiamen – Shekou – Hong Kong – Sydney – Melbourne – Brisbane – Kaohsiung.
