Hong Kong: Orient Overseas Container Lines first quarter volumes were up 7% at 1.05m teu compared to the same period in 2009. Total revenues increased by 18.9% to $1.13bn in the first three months of 2010. Strongest volume growth for OOCL was on the intra-Asia/Australasia trade with a 13.6% increase to handle 510,080 teu in the first three months. Highest revenue growth was on the Asia - Europe trade, jumping 85.2% to $277m. Overall average revenue per teu increased by 10.9% compared with the same period last year. [15/04/10]
