Hong Kong: Dry bulk shipping company Pacific Basin Shipping (PBS) has signed a contact worth HK$419m ($53m) with Chinese shipyard Jiangmen Nanyang Ship Engineering for the construction of two new handysize vessels. The vessels, scheduled for delivery in the third quarter of 2009 will cost HK$209m ($26.8m) each.
PBS currently operates a fleet of 81 Handysize dry bulk vessels of sizes between 25,000 - 35,000 dwt primarily in the Asia Pacific region. [13/04/07]
