Pertamina OSV unit adds seven vessels to fleet
Indonesian state-owned oil company Pertamina's subsidiary Pertamina Trans Kontinental, (PTK) has added seven vessels worth $50m to help it achieve its revenue target, local reports said.

Pertamina marketing director Ahmad Bambang was quoted as saying that the seven vessels comprised two anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessels and five harbour tugs and are slated to have a revenue target of IDR115bn in 2015.

The vessels were locally built at PT Batamec and PT Drydock World Pertama (DDW) dockyards in Batam.

He said the vessels would replace Pertamina’s existing vessels that had operated for more than 30 years. “This is part of the company’s efforts to achieve budget efficiency. It’s concerned about replacing chartered vessels and to develop its business it will also serve companies other than Pertamina,” he said.Bambang said the vessels would be used to support offshore oil and gas exploration, operate Pertamina’s special ports and to distribute oil and gas to ensure the available supply of oil and gas in areas across Indonesia.

PTK president director Subagjo Hari Moeljanto said the two AHTSs will serve Total E&P Indonesia in operations offshore East Kalimantan while the harbour tugs will be be put to work at Pertamina’s oil and gas terminals under long term contracts.
