Hanoi: State oil company Petrovietnam has signed a contract with shipbuilder Vinashin for three aframax tankers, becoming the second owner ever to order this ship type in the country, after Vietnam Ocean Shipping Company placed an order for a pair of similar ships in the final quarter last year. The three 105,000dwt vessels ordered by Petrovietnam are valued at around $65 million each and will all be delivered by 2009. [06/07/06]
