Singapore: Pacific International Lines (PIL) and Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha ('K' Line) are to launch of a restructured weekly service from Asia to South Africa in early March 2009. The service will be jointly operated by the two lines and eliminates the involvement of MISC Berhad ?" which had been the third party operating the service.
The restructured weekly service will deploy seven vessels of 3300 -3800 Teu capacity, of which five vessels will be deployed by "K" Line and two vessels by PIL.
Port rotation will be as follows:
Shanghai - Ningbo - Kaohsiung - Shekou - Hong Kong - Singapore - Port Klang - Durban ?" Capetown - Port Klang - Singapore - Hong Kong - Shanghai. [11/12/08
