Singapore: Pacific International Lines (PIL), Mitsui O.S.K. Lines and Mauritius-based Laurel Navigation Ltd (LNL) have announced an upgrade to their joint India/Pakistan/UAE and Africa services as of this July. The service will discontinue the South Africa leg of its previous route, shifting its dedication to service the East Africa market.
The upgraded service will feature an increased cargo capacity, deploying four 1200teu vessels on the weekly route. It will follow the port rotation: Karachi - Nhava Sheva - Jebel Ali - Mombasa - Dar es Salaam - Karachi
The consortium will also start a new service between India/UAE, South Africa and West Africa deploying five 1200teu container vessels, which will call at the following ports on a 12 day schedule: Jebel Ali - Nhava Sheva - Durban - Lagos - Cotonou - Tema - Cape Town - Durban - Jebel Ali. [22/05/07]
