Precious Shipping sends one more bulker for demolition
Bangkok-based Precious Shipping has continued to dispose of more elderly tonnages by sending one more to the scrapyard, following the sale of a pair earlier this week.

The dry bulk shipowner announced it has disposed of the 1995-built, 23,720-dwt Parinda Naree at a price of $1.29m. The vessel has been delivered to the demolition yard on 16 August.

On Monday, Precious Shipping announced the sale of two elderly bulk carriers at a total price of $2.42m, both of which have been delivered to the scrapyard on 12 August.

The continual move to disposed of aged vessels is “in accordance with the company’s strategy to rejuvenate its fleet by selling its older vessels and acquiring younger and bigger vessels.”
