Singapore: PSA International is buying a 49% stake in ABG Kolkata Container Terminal from ABG Infralogistics for a reported $37.9m.
In 2006/2007 ABG Kolkata Container Terminal handled 170,000 teu while it aims to handle 200,000 teu in 2007/2008.
PSA has also agreed to subscribe to preference shares in another ABG port, ABG Kandla Container Terminal.
PSA has three other terminal projects in India: Tuticorin Container Terminal and Chennai and Hazira. [12/02/08]
