PSA Singapore set to gain from CMA CGM acquisition of NOL

PSA Singapore set to gain from CMA CGM acquisition of NOL
Terminal operator PSA in Singapore is set to benefit from CMA CGM’s acquisition of Neptune Orient Lines (NOL).

Rodolphe Saadé
vice chairman of CMA CGM told a press briefing in Singapore that it would be “significantly increasing” its volumes at PSA.

“We will for sure keep NOL volumes in Singapore and shift CMA CGM business from other hubs,” he said.

CMA CGM currently uses Westports in Port Klang, Malaysia as its Southeast Asian hub.

Despite the plan to boost volumes in Singapore he said the company would “keep a strong presence in Port Klang”.

Given the size of the combined entity CMA CGM plans to “double hub” in Southeast Asia.
