The contract incorporates MTU-engines as part of an integrated power and propulsion package for two UT771 WP design PSVs.
“The order demonstrates Sinopacific’s confidence in our integrated systems and ship design capabilities,” said Ronny Pål Kvalsvik, Rolls-Royce vice president of sales and contract. “This design has been developed in cooperation between Rolls-Royce, the ship owner and the yard, and will feature technologies that increase fuel efficiency and safety while reducing operation costs and emissions.”
The systems from Rolls-Royce will comprise propulsion system, power electrical system, bulk handling system, deck machinery, automation and control system.
The two vessels are scheduled for delivery in late 2015.
