Safmarine launches East Africa - Malaysia service

Kuala Lumpur: Safmarine is launching a new direct service between East Africa and Malaysia.
The service the Mashakiki express will be launched on March 2 connecting Mombasa and Dar es Salaam with Malaysia's Port of Tanjung Pelepas.
Safmarine is promising faster transit times with the service which replaces its existing Mombasa Express.
"The Mashariki Express offers a number of benefits to both importers and exporters. Benefits to importers include shorter transit from the Far East to Mombasa and Dar es Salaam with preferred berthing in both Mombasa and Tanjung Pelepas," said John Lim, Safmarine Eastern African manager.
The first sailing will be on the 2,496 teu Safmarine Zambezi from Mombasa, with a total of six vessels deployed on the service.  [17/02/10]
