Seoul: Hyundai Heavy Industries delivered the Safmarine Mulanje (pictured), the second in its series of panamax containerships for Safmarine Container Lines, this week. The 4,154teu ship was christened by Mrs Vibeke Larsen, wife of Kurt Larsen, ceo of Danish transport and logistic services company DFDS, at a ceremony at HHI's shipyard in Ulsan. The vessel gains its name from the 3,000 metre-high Mount Mulanje in Southern Malawi, Africa. She will enter the global network next month as part of Safmarine 's long term fleet renewal programme.
