Due to be delivered in early 2014, the pair will add to Epic's 16 strong owned fleet and six bareboat chartered in tankers, all between 3,300 and 7,200 cu m.
Lars Vang Christensen, ceo of Epic, said: "We are pleased to have contracted with Sasaki Shipyard, who also built two of our existing ships of the same size. The expansion of our fleet with modern and fuel-efficient high quality newbuildings substantiates our long standing commitment to meet growing requirements and needs of our customers."
The price of the vessels was not revealed.
