The orders for the F&G JU2000E design rigs, with water depth capacity of 400 ft and drilling depth of up to 30,000 ft. also come with options for another two rigs for delivery in the third and fourth quarters of 2015, Seadrill said in an announcement.
The two new firm orders increases Seadrill's fleet of modern jackups to 25 rigs with an average age of three years, the company noted.
