Sembcorp Marine bags TechnipFMC FPSO contract

Singapore shipyard Sembcorp Marine (Sembmarine) has won a contract from TechnipFMC for a newbuild Floating, storage, production and offloading (FPSO) unit.

Under the contract Sembcorp Marine Rigs and Floaters will carry out the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of the hull and living quarters for the FPSO.

The contract with TechnipFMC for the 800,000 barrels storage capacity and gas production capacity of 8bn cu m a year FPSO includes the fabrication and installation of topside modules and installation of owner furnished equipment.

The is scehduled for completion in 2020 and will be deployed at the Energean-operated Karish and Tanin deepwater field developments in the Eastern Mediterranean.
