Seoul doubles support to shipbuilders to $7bn

Seoul: South Korea has doubled its planned financial support for the country's troubled shipbuilders and related suppliers to 9.5 trillion won ($7.1 billion) from the previous 4.7 trillion won, the government said on Thursday.

The Export-Import Bank of Korea and the country's export insurance agency would be the providers of support under the programme. [30/04/09]
