Beijing: China's largest domestic port operator, the Shanghai International Port Group (SIPG) has announced that it is to raise container handling prices at its holdings starting next year. The price for handling each twenty-foot container will be increased by 10% at Waigaoqiao port to 566.5 yuan ($75.7) and by 21% at the Yangshan deep water port (pictured) to 515 yuan ($68.8). The group expects the higher fees to boost core revenue for 2008 by 900m yuan ($120.2). [25/10/07]
