ShipServ adds greater functionality

ShipServ adds greater functionality

London: Global maritime e-marketplace ShipServ has announced two major enhancements to its services to transform the matching of buyers and sellers of ship supplies, services and parts.
Firstly, suppliers will now be able to upload their catalogues onto ShipServ Pages, the service's online search and sourcing tool, allowing them to enhance their listing in the industry's leading supplier directory and provide more detailed, searchable information on products and services to prospective customers.
Secondly, Pages will now include advanced ShipServ TradeNet matching functionality. TradeNet represents an unparalleled information source to extend Pages searches. Some 100 buying organisations use TradeNet to buy a volume of goods expected to reach $750m pa by year end from 5,000 suppliers. With TradeNet matching, Buyers will be shown those Suppliers that have a history in TradeNet of providing the product they are searching for, thereby giving them added reassurance in their Supplier selection process.
"Pages is rapidly becoming the 'who's who' of the Supplier world and TradeNet the 'who's done what' ", commented Paul Ostergaard, CEO, ShipServ. Combining the two presents a win-win situation for buyers and suppliers, he added.  [28/10/07]
