The list comprises 49 accredited Singapore bunker suppliers that can offer bunker fuels with sulphur content of no more than 0.5%.
From 1 January 2020 under IMO’s Marpol Annex VI regulation, all oceangoing ships will need to burn bunker fuel with a sulphur content cap of 0.5%, down from the current limit of 3.5%.
The 49 Singapore fuel suppliers can offer fuel grades ranging from MGO, low sulphur fuel oil, ultra low sulphur fuel oil of 0.1% and the 3.5% heavy bunker fuel oil.

Dr Lam Pin Min, Singapore’s senior minister of state in the ministry of transport and ministry of health, had told Sibcon 2018 in October that the MPA will publish the supplier list by mid-2019.
Some of the suppliers include big players such as BP Singapore, ExxonMobil Asia Pacific, Shell Eastern Petroleum, Total Marine Fuels, and Chevron Singapore.
