Singapore: Six months before the inaugural Sea Asia show to be held April 2-4 2007, preliminary details of the line-up for the pan-Asian event were released today by co-organisers Singapore Maritime Foundation and Seatrade at a special press conference in Singapore. Floorspace at the Suntec Singapore venue is already more than 70% sold, which SMF chairman SS Teo called 'a tremendously encouraging sign', and speakers are being finalised for the accompanying conference programme, local journalists were told. The conference will open with a panel of prominent shipowners from the region discussing 'The Asian Voice in World Shipping', and there will also be a dedicated LNG Shipping summit, co-organised with the Society of International Tanker and Terminal Operators (SIGGTO), where the likes of KOGAS of South Korea and Qatar Gas have agreed to speak. 'Maritime Asia is growing and becoming stronger,' commented Teo. 'Sea Asia will give companies from different markets in our region a great opportunity to demonstrate to an international audience the full range of their capabilities and strengths.' [15/09/06]
