Singapore: The Singapore Maritime Foundation is to have a new executive director, Mr David Chin (pictured), as of February 1. Chin has a long track-record in the government-sector, where he served in the areas of trade and transport. A new general manager, Ms Kimberly Phoon. is also joining the SMF, which is a private sector-led organisation established in 2004 and tasked with working in partnership with the various maritime sectors and relevant government agencies, to develop and promote Singapore as an International Maritime Centre. The Foundation's chairman S.S. Teo of PIL, also heads the Singapore Shipping Association. [23/01/07]
