Somali pirates arrive in Busan and Mumbai for interrogation

Busan: Sunday saw captured Somali pirates arrive in both South Korea and India to face trials.
Five alleged Somali pirates arrived in Busan on Sunday to face trial in the recent foiled hijacking of a cargo ship, charges that could bring them life in prison.?Authorities alleged that the five were among 13 pirates who earlier this month seized the South Korean chemical freighter Samho Jewelry and kidnapped its crew of eight South Koreans, two Indonesians and 11 citizens of Myanmar.
Meanwhile, the 15 Somali pirates who were apprehended by the Indian Navy following a gunbattle off the coast of Lakshadweep Islands were being taken to Mumbai for interrogation.?"They (pirates) are being brought to Mumbai and their interrogation would take place there on Monday," said Commander PVS Satish, a naval spokesperson.?The pirates were caught after the Thailand-registered ''Prantalay'' which was being used by them was intercepted by Navy''s Fast Attack Craft (FAC) INS Canskaro on Friday in the Arabian Sea.
