A South Korean liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) carrier leaks off Dongying port, Shandong province in east China coast.

The ship loaded with 1,850 tons of liquefied gas, departed from South Korea heading to Dongying. 15 crews are unharmed, including five from Korea, five from Indonesia and five from Myanmar.

A valve was detected to be faulty when the ship was docking at port. As no alternative parts were available on the ship, it requested for anchorage to fix the valve while the leakage happened in its first cargo hold.

The ship will be repaired locally with the help from local authorities and experts from Korean. Local government has designated traffic control zone and is monitoring the environment around the sea area.
