ST Marine bags $32m dredger

Singapore: Singapore Technologies Marine, a unit of ST Engineering, has secured a $32m contract to repair and modify a cutter  suction dredger - a ship used for land reclamation - from Dutch-based Baggermaatschappij Boskalis. The work, which includes reconfiguration of the vessel and the fitting of new diesel engines, generators, dredging equipment and accommodation space, will start immediately at ST Marine's Tuas yard with delivery expected to take place in the second half of 2007.  [28/07/06]
