New York: Star Bulk Carriers has contracted Hanjin Heavy Industries & Construction for a second capesize bulker newbuilding. The vessel is a sistership to one ordered at the South Korean yard by Star Bulk last month, and is due for delivery in November 2011. Star Bulk did not say how much it would pay for the vessel, but the previous ship was contracted at $53.5m. The company said both newbuildings would be financed through a combination of debt and internal funds. [13/04/10]
