The Singapore-listed company said it been awarded the contract by an undisclosed Houston-based oil and gas company and it covered full EPCIC services for an offshore processing facility as well as subsea infrastructure.
The $710m project is Swiber’s first in the West Africa offshore market and work is set to start in Q1 2015 and be completed by mid-2017.
“With this project, Swiber will broaden its experience, knowledge base and skill sets to enhance our competitive standing in the offshore oil and gas industry, and pursuenew areas of business opportunities in the growing West African market,” Francis Wong, ceo of Swiber said.
For the year to date Swiber has clinched $1.03bn in new contracts.
