Swiber inks $310m EPCIC contract with South Asian oil company
Swiber Holdings has bagged a $310m Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation and Commissioning (EPCIC) contract with a South Asian national oil company.

The contract with an undisclosed South Asian oil company covers eight new platforms and associated pipelines. Engineering work will start immediately with completion targeted for March 2017.

The new contract brings Swiber’s orderbook to $1.6bn have won a $710m West Africa contract late last year.

“Swiber is building a strong momentum in our project wins as this new contract follows on the heels of the West Africa award. As an established provider of EPCIC services for shallow water oil and gas field development, we believe that Swiber occupies a space in the offshore service value chain that will be less susceptible to spending cuts by the oil & gas companies,” said Francis Wong, ceo and president of Swiber.
