Taicang joins the millionaire's club

Shanghai: Taicang Port's container throughput exceeded 1 million teu for the first time, announced Taicang Municipal Government and Taicang Port Management Committee on December 20th. Taicang Port, where famed explorer Admiral Zheng He embarked on his epic voyages back in the 15th century, is managed by Hong Kong's Modern Terminals, situated 74km upstream from Shanghai on the Yangtze.
Modern Terminals added to its portfolio last week with the opening of its Dachan Bay facility in western Shenzhen. [26/12/07]
