The company also said in a stock market report, referring to press reports that Tan would make some revelations, that he had been given ample opportunity to present his concerns before the IC.
“However, Tan declined to attend interviews with the IC, or to make any statement to the committee despite several reminders to attend the interviews,” it said.
It said that Tan had agreed and consented to the setting up of the IC at a 8 January meeting of the board of directors of Tanjung Offshore. “The board also agreed to his request to include Tan’s personal legal adviser as an ex officio member of the IC.Tan’s personal legal adviser attended only the initial two meetings out of daily meetings conducted by the IC over a two-week period,” it said.
