TEN placed a firm order for one LNG carrier plus an option for a second, at a yard reported to be Hyundai Heavy Industries although the shipowner did not name the shipbuilder. It said the first vessel was due for delivery from a major South Korean yard in the first quarter 2015 and has a tri-fuel design allowing it to run fuel oil, marine diesel and LNG. The shipowner said it was in discussions for a long-term contract for the vessel and was “confident” employment would secured well before its delivery.
