Thome signs up for training platform

Singapore: Thome Ship Management (Thome) has entered an agreement with Teledata Marine Solutions to become the launch customer for TMS' Holistic Maritime Training Platform (HMT).
 
TMS' HMT platform was launched only on 2 September 2009.  Thome has entered an agreement to become the launch customer for HMT. 
TMS' HMT platform was conceived in response to the two pressing needs of today's maritime enterprises: the need for consolidation of the many professional and safety courses on ships and ashore, and the need to align training to performance bench-marking in the organization.
Captain Bjorn Hojgaard, Managing Director of Thome, explained the decision to implement a holistic training platform for the company, "As a company that delivers our value proposition exclusively through the associates employed with us, we need to ensure that every associate is meeting a 'Thome standard' for how we do things.
