U-Ming plans to buy two new cement carriers
Taiwan’s U-Ming Marine Transport Corp has announced a plan to oprder two new cement carriers in a fleet renewal move.

The Taipei-listed dry bulk shipowner told the stock exchange in a brief statement that the two new cement carriers will replace its older vessels.

U-Ming believed that the new cement carriers would offer greater fuel efficiency and be more environmentally friendly.

Further details of the shipbuilder and delivery dates of the new vessels were not available.

U-Ming’s website states that it operates five cement carriers with sizes ranging from 6,169 dwt to 12,340 dwt, built between 1980 to 1995.
