The United Kingdom Hydrographic Organisation (UKHO) is holding a series of free ECDIS seminars at Marintec China 2015.

The seminars entitled “Living with ECDIS” will be held in both Mandarin and English covering the latest ENC standards and presented by Captain Paul Hailwood a renowned expert on ECDIS and integrated bridge operations, and Thomas Mellor, UKHO’s Head of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Support and Digital Standards, and Chairman of the ENC Working Group.

“Since our first ‘Are You Ready for ECDIS’ seminar in 2011, we have helped almost 4,000 shipping professionals in over 70 countries.  Our latest ‘Living with ECDIS’ seminar at Marintec continues to offer guidance that reflects the progress ship owners and operators have made in their use of ECDIS over the last three years,” Mellor commented.

“We continue to address the latest challenges faced by shipping companies through free practical advice and guidance and look forward to meeting Marintec attendees, answering their questions on ECDIS management and updating them on the latest IHO ENC Standards.”

The seminars will be held on 1,2 and 3 December between 1-30pm and 3-10pm in room M40 located near to the entrance/exit to hall N2.
