Mumbai: Mitsui O.S.K. Lines and Samudera Shipping are upgrading their Karachi Express Service (KEX) for Pakistan, by adding a call to Pipavav, Mumbai. MOL operates two 850teu ships on the KEX service with Samudera supplying a third, similar sized vessel. The upgraded service from Singapore to Karachi maintains the fastest transit time with a direct route. In addition, the Japan-Karachi link 'will be the fastest and most reliable in the market thanks to connections with MOL's unique Japan/Straits service,' MOL maintains. With new calls at the port of Pipavav, inbound and outbound service for India will also be improved. [06/07/06]
